STA. MARIA—One of Region 1’s most wanted persons, who is facing eight counts of rape involving a six-year old girl, was finally caught by the police in Barangay Dalayap here.

Arrested was Cesar Fajardo, 50, a resident of the barangay, but is facing charges in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur where he allegedly committed the crime in 2009.

The suspect has been in hiding in various places over the last four years.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Melanio Cruz of the Tagudin Regional Trial Court Branch 25.—Eva Visperas
