LINGAYEN– The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office has again intensified its campaign against illegal gambling, resulting in the arrest of one supposed jai-alai collector on Nicanor Street, Poblacion about 3:40 p.m. of July 21.

Arrested was Malbert Sison, 30, of Pantal, Poblacion who was caught in the act of collecting bets for jueteng.

Confiscated from his possession were jueteng paraphernalia such as a belt bag, eight pieces of paper marked Meridien Vista Gaming Corporation with written numbers and figures representing amount of money bets, four pieces of pad paper with numbers and figures with money bets, another 35 pieces of pad paper, 184 pieces paper also marked Meridian Vista Gaming Corporation with four pieces of carbon paper, one cartoon of paper covered with scotch tape, one electronic calculator, one unit cell phone, cash money amounting to P1,100 in different denominations, one Mitsukoshi 125 motorcycle without plate number.

The suspect and the confiscated evidence were brought to the Lingayen Police Station for investigation.
