Father and son gunned down in Dagupan
A FATHER and son were gunned down in the island barangay of Pugaro in Dagupan at 10:30 a.m. of July 10, killing the elder victim.
The lone fatality was identified as Delfin Ramos, 66, a widower and Ryan Ramos, 28, both fishermen and residents of Pugaro Centro.
The elder Ramos died on arrival at the Region 1 Medical Hospital while his son is in serious condition.
The lone suspect was identified as Loreto Ramos, alias “Boyong”, 42, also a fisherman, who was arrested by the police in a follow-up operation at the residence of his cousin Joel Ramos, 32, also a fisherman, where the firearm used in the shooting was recovered.
Investigation disclosed that the motive of the incident stems from an old grudge concerning the operation of fish cages.
