Guv, prov’l board take oath on June 28

LINGAYEN—Re-elected Governor Amado Espino Jr. and Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr. along with the elected members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan will take their respective oath of office on June 28, 2013 at the Sison Auditorium here.

“It will be a very simple affair… A mass will be officiated by Archbishop Socrates Villegas at 7 in the morning to be followed immediately by the very simple oath taking,” said Provincial Administrator Rafael Howard Baraan.

Espino will be sworn in for his third and last term while Calimlim for his second, both ran under the Nationalist People’s Coalition’s (NPC).

Meanwhile, majority of the board members who won last May 13 were also re-electionists.

They are Napoleon Fontelera Jr. (1st District); Raul Sison (2nd District); Generoso Tulagan Jr. (3rd District); Mojamito Libunao (4th District); Danny Uy and Clemente Arboleda Jr. (5th District, who were both unopposed); and Ranjit Ramos Shahani and Alfonso Bince Jr. (6th District).

Third District Board Member Angel Baniqued Sr. will be replaced by his son and namesake, Angel Baniqued Jr.

Meanwhile, come-backing members of the board to take oath anew after some years are Anthony Sison (1st District), Nestor Reyes (2nd District) and Liberato Villegas (4th District).–Johanne R. Macob
