GMA Network’s regional news broadcast in the Ilocos Region, Balitang Ilokano, celebrated its first anniversary of delivering news and current events with the Balitang Ilokano Fun Run last June 29.

Races for 3, 5 and 10 kilometers were staged, kicking off at 4 a.m. in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur.

 “Balitang Ilokano Babies” and “Senior Ilokano” segments, which respectively recognize through gifts and tokens babies born June 25 and senior citizens celebrating their birthdays that day, were also aired as part of the celebration.

A “Question of the Day Anniversary Text Promo” will also run from July 1 to 31.

Anchored by Jorge Guerrero, Balitang Ilokano airs from Monday to Friday, 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. on GMA North Luzon.
