Abandoned logs found in Agno
AGNO—Something must have spooked some illegal loggers for them to abandon five illegally sawed lumber locally known as casco in Barangay Gayusan here at past midnight of June 11, according to the police.
Wilson Nivera, 61, barangay chairman of Gayusan, found the abandoned logs and immediately reported it to the police.
The logs, measuring more or less 750x40x10 centimeters, were valued at around P40, 000.
Probers from the Agno Police Station are still conducting follow-up investigation to identify the owner of the logs.
The police theorized that the logs were accidentally dropped and eventually abandoned by still unidentified suspects.
