9 arrested for drugs in Pozorrubio

POZORRUBIO—Nine people were arrested in a house being used as a drug den in Barangay Dilan here during a raid conducted by the police in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on May 30.

First to be arrested was Reynaldo Palma, 43, tagged as a notorious drug dealer, shortly after he sold a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing shabu to a police operative who disguised as a buyer.

When bodily frisked, Palma yielded two more plastic sachets of shabu.

Palma’s live-in partner, identified as Jennylyn Monterde, 25, was also arrested because the marked P500 bill was passed on to her by Palma.

The raid was based on a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Tita Rodriguez-Villarin on the house of Gabriel Palma, 68, father of Reynaldo.

When lawmen entered the house, they found six more males on a high while sniffing the illegal drug

They were identified as Aquilino Solis Jr. Samson Campo, Jemuill Bragil, Emiliano Nazareno, Arturo Nazareno, and Michael De Vera, residents of Lipit and Nalsian, Manaoag and Alipangpang, Pozorrubio.

All the suspects, together with the house owner and the confiscated items and the drugs paraphernalia, were brought to the Pozorrubio Police Station for further identification, investigation and subsequently submitted to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory for examination.
