Dagupan City lass is Darling of the Press

LINGAYEN—The province is abuzz with activities leading up to the annual Pista’y Dayat (Sea Festival) celebration, one of which is the crowd favorite Search for Limgas na Pangasinan.
The 25 ladies vying for this year’s title were formally presented to the media last April 8 and Dagupan City’s representative, Cynthia Caldona, was picked as the “Darling of the Press”.
Caldona, in an interview after receiving the special award, said her main goal during the media presentation was to be able to intelligently answer the question thrown to her by the press.
“Basta makasagot lang ng tama doon sa binigay na tanong, ‘yon lang ‘yong goal ko, this is really an unexpected award,” said a happy Caldona.
The media presentation was held at the Urduja House, the official resident of the Pangasinan Governor, where the ladies also paid a courtesy call to Governor Amado Espino Jr.
Aside from Caldona, the other candidates are Michelle Alegre (Bautista), Belinda Centino (San Manuel), Charlotte Visperas (Mangaldan), Joyce Eden Bince (Binmaley), Joana Marie Solomon (Manaoag), Lady Shane Ursua (Basista), Ava Videa Dacquel (Binalonan), Dianarra Cardozo (Anda), Ana Jen Eustaquio (Lingayen), Pamela Kae Miranda (Calasiao), Carmina Tamondong (Mangaldan), Gwen May Amor Elegores (Urdaneta City), Mahan Ahmed (San Carlos City), Ina Fatima Malicdem (Mangaldan), Nikkie Marie Elizalde (Binmaley), Mariz Caloza (Tayug), Jenilyn Ramos (San Carlos City), Rejean Labarete (Villasis), Kashmir Marjorie Hernaez (Urdaneta City), Victoria Marie Amor Onia (Binmaley), Agnes Ferreria (San Fabian),
Mara Janielle Ramos (Dagupan City), Maria Marjorie Antigua (San Carlos City), and Maricar Magtoto (Rosales).
The coronation of the Limgas na Pangasinan 2013 will be held in the evening of May 1 at the Sison Auditorium. — Johanne R. Macob
