Sta. Maria bags Rice Achievers Award
THE municipality of Sta. Maria received the Rice Achiever’s Award in recognition of its performance and leadership in rice production that boosted the country’s food production program in 2012.
Mayor Teodoro Ramos received the testimonial from Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala during the awarding rites at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on March 15.
Aside from Sta. Maria, the town of Manaoag under Mayor Napoleon Sales also received the prestigious award.
Gov. Amadeo Espino Jr., also received a similar award in the provincial category.
