Lokin leads medical missions in 2nd District

BUGALLON—Former Cibac partylist Rep. Kim Lokin conducts medical missions in different towns in the second district regularly where she is eyeing a congressional seat in the May 13 polls to address to the health care needs of the constituents.

Her latest activity was in Barangay Portic here after conducting missions in Lingayen and Urbiztondo.

She said her medical mission will cover five other towns in her district and pledged to do more if time permits her to serve more indigent patients.

During her medical missions, she consults the people to know more of their needs and sentiments.

“Listening to their wants and needs will further prepare me for the task as their representative,” Lokin said.

She said she is optimistic about her candidacy this time as she is now with the administration Liberal Party with no less than President Benigno Aquino III strongly backing her congressional bid when he came to Pangasinan last March 16.

Lokin who is from Labrador town said her advocacies (KKK) are akin to the President’s vision – “Tuwid na Daan”- namely, Kalusugan, Kabuhayan and Kabataan.

Being a woman, she said Kababaihan (women) will also on top of her agenda.

She assured her constituents that apart ensuring delivery of basic services for them, she would support the President’s legislative agenda.

Lokin has been getting enthusiastic reception particularly from the needy whom she has committed to help, elections or no elections, and without media fanfare.
