ALAMINOS CITY—The Hundred Islands, a popular tourist destination in this coastal city, was featured in the Yahoo web portal through an article titled “Budget Travel: Hundred Islands National Park” written by Gael Hilotin, a Filipina.

Hilotin pictured how beautiful the Hundred Islands is, which has also been featured as the cover photo of a book published in the United Kingdom on “501 Must-Visit Islands” in the world.

Meanwhile, the World Travel Mart considers the Hundred Islands among the 13 Best Bird Watching Sites.

Gael wrote that the Hundred Islands, considered as the number one tourist spot in Pangasinan and Region 1, is a favorite destination for travellers on a budget.

Last year, the Hundred Islands was visited by some 200,000 domestic and foreign tourists.

Mayor Hernanio Braganza is happy about the online exposure saying millions of internet viewers visit the Yahoo site.
