DRUG dealing continues in Dagupan City despite the recent arrest of at least 24 people and the seizure of than 200 grams of shabu in the Muslim area in Bonuan Tondaligan.

On February 25, Fhad Bansao, 18, of Pakpak, Marawi City was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted at the alley going to Dimla’s Resort at Sitio Silungan, Bonuan Binloc.

The suspect was arrested by operatives of the joint intelligence and City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSTOG) led by Senior Inspector Rizaldy Dalope under the direction of Superintendent Christopher Abrahano, Dagupan police chief, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 1.

Bansao was grabbed by operatives shortly after he sold two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu to a police officer who acted as poseur buyer.

Seized from him aside from the prohibited drug were the P500 bill used in the buy-bust operation and 17 pieces of a photo copy of P500 bills.

A case for violation of Art II, Sec 5 of the RA 9165 was filed against the suspect.
