LINGAYEN—The province has two new police chiefs.

The police stations in the towns of Lingayen and Bayambang are now operating with new chiefs of police while the San Carlos City police station recently saw the return of its chief who was earlier placed on preventive suspension.

Sr. Supt. Marlou Chan, officer-in-charge Police Provincial Office (PPO) director, announced the new appointments upon receiving the order from the Region 1 Police with approval from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in accordance with the election period rules.

Supt. Reynante Panay is assigned to lead the Lingayen police while Supt. Gaston Cafongtan will be in Bayambang.

Both Panay and Cafongtan previously served at the Regional Operations and Plans Division (ROPD).
