THE Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupann (ALD) will hold the “Artista Para sa Seminarista” basketball exhibition benefit game on February 28, 4:00 p.m. at the Narciso Ramos Sports Complex in Lingayen to raise funds for a Theology seminary.

The Artista team will be composed of showbiz personalities led by the brothers Anjo, Jomari and Raymond Yllana, their friend-actors Onyok Velasco, Gene Padilla, and Eat Bulaga Mr. Pogi winners, among others.

Playing against them are priests from different parishes.

The ALD is currently constructing the Mary Help of Christians Theology Seminary in Barangay Palapad, San Fabian to establish a Theology Seminary for its sustainability and also in celebration of its 50 years as an Archdiocese on February 16.

“It is also a legacy that we will leave behind long after we have left this world. It is a legacy that will transcend our lifetime,” said Archbishop Socrates Villegas.

Phase 1 of the project is almost complete and the seminary will be partly open by June in time for the start of the academic year.

Tickets for the game are priced at P200 and P500 and will be available in all ALD parishes and Catholic Schools.

Special tickets will also be available for the “Dinner with the Stars” and photo ops after the game.–Eva Visperas
