MALASIQUI—Just minutes after the enforcement of the gun ban last January 13, a barangay chairman from Macabito, Calasiao was arrested by the police manning a checkpoint in Barangay Tambac here for possession of a Cal. .45 pistol ARMSCOR with one magazine loaded with six live ammunition.

Arrested was Roberto Jorgio, 45, who tried to fled the police but was eventually caught after a chase.

His firearm was licensed but he did not have a gun ban exemption.

A case for violation of Comelec Resolution No. 7166 was filed against the suspect.
