A LETTER FROM SEN. ALAN S. CAYETANO

By January 12, 2013Governance, News

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Pangasinan –

I am heartened by the news that your provincial government has extended financial help to our brothers and sisters in Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley who are without any means to rebuild their lives.  I, too, have sent my share to help alleviate their sufferings but these are by no means enough to console and to allow them to resume their normal activities.

The children there are finding it difficult to resume their studies because not only have they lost their classrooms but all their books and school supplies have vanished. It would, therefore, help the children in those affected areas if a group in your province can initiate the collection of books and supplies that can be used by them.  I will be more than happy to assist in ensuring that the donated materials reach them.

Meanwhile, I urge you to be on the alert with your phone cameras when witnessing violations of election laws, particularly the gun ban.  We must all help ensure that there will be zero bloodshed for the duration of the campaign and on election day.

Sincerely,

Alan
