Trader wounded in Alaminos shooting

ALAMINOS CITY—A businessman was shot and wounded by a still unidentified suspect at 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 18 at Vereciano Street here.

The victim was identified as Wilson Fidel, 43, of Barangay San Roque who was shot by a lone man wearing a bonnet.

Investigation conducted by the police under the supervision of Supt. Armando Muena, officer in-charge, showed that the suspect was shot shortly after coming from his stall.

After shooting Fidel, the suspect casually walked to the north direction then disappeared upon reaching Suki Market.

Recovered from the crime scene was one spent shell for caliber 45 pistol believed to be the firearm used in the shooting.

Fidel was first rushed to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital before he was transferred to Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City for further medical attention.
