THE City Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) has started distributing stickers with calamity preparedness tips to all business establishments, households, private schools and transport groups in Dagupan as part of its information dissemination campaign.

Arlene Agpoon, CDRRMC TWG on administration and training, said the distribution of stickers is part of the city’s Community-Based Information Education Campaign dubbed “Kahandaan ay Kaligtasan”.

“The stickers contain pertinent information such as components of an emergency kit, emergency hotline numbers of primary agencies concerned during a disaster as well as CDRRMC contact numbers,” Agpoon said.

Agpoon also said teachers who previously underwent Basic Life Support training were also given school-based IEC materials kits, which contain flashcards and a compact disk from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

“We have also produced other community-based IEC projects in the past like ‘Kaligtasan sa Dalampasigan at Tubig’ posters and tarpaulins which were put up in different areas of Tondaligan beach to keep beachgoers safe along the coastlines,” Agpoon added. (CIO)
