Wedding in a winery

A COMMON passion for engineering led their paths to cross in the hallowed hallways of UCLA, where both studied and earned their academic degrees, and linked their hearts in a covalent bond. Genevieve is the third child of Florencio Fernandez of Sta. Barbara and the former Geronima de la Cruz of Lingayen while Edward is the US-born son of Korean migrants Denny and Julieanne Han.

Their romance at the academe took a quantum leap on the golden afternoon of September 22nd when they exchanged marital vows in the bucolic setting of Paradise Ridge Winery that is nestled in a 156-acre estate in the heart of Sonoma County, California.

On hand to witness the young couple make their lifelong commitment were their friends and families.

Here Comes the Bride–The radiant bride, Genevieve, arrives on a vintage white Rolls Royce and was met by the groom, Edward.

Baby No More—Parents Geronima and Florencio are proud and happy that their youngest is now starting a new life yet recall fondly that it was not too long ago that she was the apple of their eye.

Growing Bigger —The Fernandezes times three: The eldest of the brood, Fernan and wife Michelle and their two kids; the newly wed Gen and Ed; the parents, Ming and Florenz; Ari and Erik and their four boys.

And Bigger—The Fernandezes and the de la Cruz clan make up a big, happy wedding party. Posing for posterity with the Fernandez family are: Mrs. Lydia Contemprato, Jay Contemprato, Helen Francisco, Renato Francisco, Merly Soriano, Twinky Soriano, Maria Yu, Domingo Soriano, Tita Soriano, Juanita dela Cruz and Jocelyn Francisco.

Getting to Know You—The bridal parents exchange notes on the newly married.
