Team Glock Dagupan shines in Asia-Pacific competition

LOCAL shooters from the Dagupan Practical Shooting Association (DPSA) carrying the colors of Team Glock Dagupan emerged credibly sharp in the recently Asia-Pacific Glock Invitational Shooting Competition held at the Cebu Pistol and Rifle Association Firing Range in Mactan, Cebu on October 26-28.

Robert Erfe-Mejia Jr. of Team Glock Dagupan ruled the overall individual standings in the Glock Standard Pistol Division winning the champion trophy plus a brand new Glock 17 9mm pistol. Teammate Adrian Medina garnered 7thplace in the same division.

In the Team Event, Team Glock Dagupan composed of Joel Catinec, Dr. Benedict Macaraeg, Patrick Rosario, Adrian Medina and team captain Rob Christopher Erfe-Mejia also romped away with the first runner-up trophy in over-all team standings.

The 12-Stage Level II Match sanctioned by the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) and the Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) drew participation from 341 top shooters from the Philippines, Hawaii, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Macau, China, Japan and Indonesia representing various gun clubs in the Asia-Pacific Region.
