COACH Renato “Jack” Vidal piloted the University of Eastern Pangasinan (UEP) to a championship crown in the recently concluded Metro Urdaneta Athletic Association Basketball League, gaining his 15^th overall title, the highest that a coach in Region I has accomplished.

Ten of his championship trophies were at the University of Luzon, including six straight championships from 1998 to 2003.

Vidal also steered UEP in the Jimmy Fernandez Cup in 2011, but what could be the crowning glory of his coaching career was when he won major tournaments such as the Panagbenga 2007 in Baguio City, the Sunriser Inter-Commercial Basketball Championship in Lingayen 2008 and the Men’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (MNCAA) Basketball crown in 2007.
