Man kills son, brother in Agno

AGNO– A family feud in Sitio Boboy here led to the death of two persons and the arrest of one on the night of October 3.

The fatalities were identified as Erdie Ortaleza, 42, who suffered a lone gunshot below his right armpit and Herald Ortaleza, 18, who sustained one gunshot wound on his temple.

The suspect, who voluntarily surrendered to the police, was identified as Henry Ortaleza, 56, brother of Erdie and father of Herald.

The suspect, believed to have used a Cal. 38 revolver, told the police that a scuffle ensued between him and the two victims and he accidentally shot his son, after which shot his brother, then carried the body of his son to their house and tried to call for help.

Further police investigation indicates that the suspect not only shot his brother but also smashed his head with a 3-ft. lead pipe.

The suspect is under custodial investigation awaiting the filing of a complaint from immediate relatives.
