LINGAYEN— Governor Amado Espino Jr., celebrated the good performance so far of Team Pangasinan in the ongoing Batang Pinoy 2012 North Luzon sporting event, by hosting a media night at the Chatanoga Restaurant in the lagoon area of the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Complex here last October 11.

Members of both national and local media that attended had the opportunity to chat with the governor and other provincial officials.

Manila Bulletin sports writer Clyde Mariano and Danilo Simon of Tonite are predicting that Team Pangasinan will most likely top in the Athletics event.

Batang Pinoy 2012, with its theme Youth Excellence in Sports (YES), is part of the national sports development and competition program for athletes 15 years old and below, including those who are out of school.

The games are until October 1, the winners of which will move on to the national finals.–Johanne R. Macob
