Dagupan team celebrates Eat Bulaga win
A TEAM of Dagupan barangay workers made it to national television last October 12 through the popular noontime show Eat Bulaga and showed they are champs in coordination.
The team, composed mostly of barangay health workers and community staff, won the grand final round of the show’s game segment “Kaliwa o Kanan, Win Win Win, Wave Wave Wave”, a game contest about groups moving their hands in sync following the team’s leader’s instructions.
The team was honored during last Monday’s flag raising ceremony at the city plaza.
“Ako ay natutuwa na lalong umiigting ang samahan ng mga kawani ng ating gobyerno,” said Mayor Benjamin Lim. .
Aside from the title, the team won P200,000 while two team members won an extra P10,000 each in another game where their respective numbers were drawn.
The Eat Bulaga crew first came to Pangasinan for a qualifying round where Dagupan beat San Carlos City.
In the semi-final round, Dagupan bested Tarlac City and went on to face a team from Batangas in the grand final.(PIA-Pangasinan/VHS)
