Livestock technology seminar held Aug. 30
A PROVINCE-wide seminar on livestock technology production was held at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center in Lingayen last August 30, organized by the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO).
About 200 provincial employees from various departments and offices, veterinarians and livestock inspectors and raisers from various local government units, and members of the Pangasinan Goat and Sheep Raisers Association and Asingan Goat and Sheep Raisers Association joined the event.
Dr. Eric Jose Perez, officer-in-charge in the office of the PVO, said the seminar sought to encourage stock raisers to produce more livestock such as swine, goat, and cattle.
A swine raiser from Lingayen, Domingo Soriano, said he attended the seminar because he wanted to lean more about his trade in order to improve his income.
Lectures on New Trends on Feeding and Swine Nutrition, Swine Management, and Health Management of Large and Small Ruminant during Rainy Seasons were discussed by resource speakers, including Dr. Rod Reyes of San Miguel Food Corporation and Dr. Vivian dela Cruz Ajor of Excellence Livestock and Poultry Specialist.
Meanwhile, barangay livestock inspectors are also conducting seminars in their respective barangays.–Johanne R. Macob
