Dances of the north take center stage
BAILE: A Festival of Dances (Year 2) was staged September 29 at the SM Rosales The Event Center, featuring the best dancers and dance groups in the northern area, including Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet and Ilocos.
Each of the unique dance routines – in three categories: cultural, modern, and interpretative – performed for the competition told a story, delivered a message, and portrayed the different colorful cultures of the northern part of Luzon.
The show also highlighted the different dialects with lyrical poems and music.
Winners in the different categories brought home cash and gift prizes.
