CDD students win JPIA Quiz Bowl
FOR two years in a row, Colegio de Dagupan (CDD) accountancy students have dominated the Sycip, Gorres, Velayo and Co. (SGV) Cup in the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Regional 11th Midyear Convention.
This year’s champion is Armando P. Alvendia, Jr., a senior BS Accountancy student and one of the school’s President Scholars.
Regie T. Sison, a senior BS Accountancy student, was declared champion of the President’s Cup.
Alvendia and Sison as a team also placed 1st runner-up in the accounting Quiz held last July 25 in celebration of the accountancy Week of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Pangasinan Chapter.
The 11th convention, held in Baguio City September 23-25, was participated in by 80 contenders.
Alvendia will represent the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants region I and CAR Council on October 23-26 in Davao City for the National Midyear Convention.
Last year, then BS Accountancy senior student Marc Francis Cagaoan clinched home the title as the National Champion in the SGV Cup.
