Rep. G de V tells cops: Go get them!
FOURTH District Rep. Gina de Venecia, upon delivering on her promise to provide high speed motorcycles to the police, called on the force to intensify efforts in pursuing and arresting motorcycle riding-in-tandem hitmen (MRTH).
Last week, the police of Dagupan City and the municipalities of San Fabian, Mangaldan, San Jacinto and Manaoag received one high-speed motorcycle each from De Venecia. The second units are expected to be delivered in two weeks.
In San Fabian, she turned over the motorcycle to Chief Inspector Dominador Soriano, chief of police, in the presence of Mayor Irene Libunao and Vice Mayor Leopoldo Manalo
De Venecia pledged to provide high-speed motorcycles to each of the five police stations in the fourth district after Barangay Chairman Arsenio Bucao of San Fabian was assassinated by armed men riding-in-tandem on motorcycles two years ago.
She was speaking nearby at the town plaza for the Barangay Night of the town fiesta when the assault on Bucao happened.
She called on the police chiefs to form teams of policemen riding-in-tandem using the high-speed motorcycle to patrol their towns so that they can easily respond to reported attacks by the MRTH who have since been claiming victims in various parts of the province.
