PRISAA Collegiate Games reset to August 16

THE opening of the 2012 PRISAA Metro Dagupan Division Collegiate Games at the Peoples Astrodome has been postponed to August 16 due to heavy rains.

This year’s games, which will run until September, will feature competitions in athletics, badminton, beach volleyball, chess, dance sports, volleyball, lawn tennis, karatedo, swimming, table tennis, and taekwondo while men only in basketball and sepak takraw.

The participating schools are: Colegio de Dagupan, Lyceum-Northwestern University, Pangasinan Merchant Marine Academy, Philippine College of Science and Technology, PIMSAT Colleges, and University of Luzon.

The first place winners in these events, if qualified under standard PRISAA quidelines, will represent the Division in the 22nd PRISAA Regional Collegiate Games, on November 5-8.—Philamer C. Celi
