WARRANT OF ARREST OUT

LINGAYEN—Following the issuance of a warrant of arrest by a Manila trial court judge for the suspect behind the gun slaying of a former vice mayor here and his wife, police have intensified the manhunt with all the police chiefs in the 44 towns and four cities in Pangasinan put on alert.

Senior Supt. Mariano Luis Verzosa Jr., officer-in-charge provincial police director, said the arrest of Otto Guialaludin, alias Boy Muslim, a native of Cotabato City and temporarily residing in Poblacion, Urbiztondo is a top priority.

Judge Marcelino Sayo Jr. of the regional trial court, National Capital Judicial Region branch 45 in Manila issued the warrant against Guialaludin for the double murder of Ramon and Zorahayda Arcinue, former vice mayor of Lingayen and barangay chairman of Poblacion, Lingayen, respectively.

No bail was recommended by the judge for Guialaludin.

A reward for Guialaludin’s arrest has been raised by local government officials with each provincial board member pledging P10,000; Vice Gov. Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr., P50,000; Lingayen Mayor Ernesto Castaneda, P300,000 from the municipal coffer; Gov. Amado Espino Jr., P500,000; and another P200,000 from the Arcinue family.

The Arcinue couple was shot and killed last March 7 in front of their rented apartment in Sampaloc, Manila.

Guialaludin is reportedly employed as a bodyguard of a Pangasinan mayor but has left Pangasinan with his family sometime in April 23, according to Verzosa.

Guialaludin is also suspected to be involved in other murder and robbery cases.
