AGNO—Two Indonesian barges which ran aground and abandoned on the shoreline of Barangay Aloleng here at the height of Typhoon Gener had been towed to the Sual Port.

The two vessels were finally pulled by two tugboats, Harlina 89 and Yugtong, last week out of the area after 11 days.

The barges, with markings Seokawati 2708 Priok and Seokawati 2709T anjung Priok, were provided tight security by the Agno Police Station and the Philippine Coast Guard.

Both are now anchored in Sual and will be processed for customs obligations and other shipping requirements.—EvaVisperas
