Hataw machines seized in Dagupan
THE Police Provincial Office, in its continuing campaign against illegal gambling, seized two units of illegal video machines, locally known as “hataw”, along Ayusip Road, Bonuan Gueset in Dagupan on August 22 at around 4:15 p.m.
Joint elements of the Dagupan City Police Station led by Sr. Inspector Junmar Gonzales and elements of the Provincial Intelligence Branch led by Sr. Inspectors Rex Infante and Rommel Centeno proceeded to the location immediately after they received information on the operation of illegal video machines in the area.
However, no one was arrested as players scampered towards different directions upon sensing the presence of the operating teams.
The confiscated machines were brought to the Provincial Intelligence Branch in Lingayen for proper disposition.
