Doctor defends cholesterol as anti-oxidant

CHOLESTEROL could be good for you.

A prominent physician and biochemist has called on the Pangasinan Press Club to lead in educating the public in the “truth and correct steps” to good health and wellness, including the many benefits of cholesterol-rich food to the human body.

Dr. Robin B. Navarro, head of Wellness and Rejuvenation Center, said it is “a big fat lie what the whole world has been made to swallow for many years about the so-called heart attack-inducing bad cholesterol.”

Speaking before the PPC’s weekly forum, Navarro, a graduate of the Far Eastern University College of Medicine who has a doctorate at Oxford University College of Medicine in England, noted that world record shows that cardio vascular diseases have increased in countries “where so much lie has been unquestionably peddled regarding the imagined evil of cholesterol including the United States and the Philippines”

“Cholesterol acts as an anti-oxidant, keeping the cell membrane intact as part of the cell wall, boosting person’s mental performance, building strong bones and protecting him against infectious diseases,” he said.

The doctor admitted that his unpopular advocacies such as encouraging his patients to eat plenty of eggs everyday and other cholesterol-rich food such as bulalo have been opposed by conventional doctors.

Navarro promotes what he calls his “miracle treatment” known as Rapid Cellular Balancing (RCB), which he said is based on 30 years of his research work, combining the methods of three

German doctors including a Nobel Prize Awardee.

He receives patients at the Sony Building on Arellano Street in Dagupan City with contact number 075-523-6360.
