Aspiring writers join literary writing seminar

IN line with efforts to keep Pangasinan’s literary culture alive, the provincial government sponsored a literary writing seminar last Saturday for the province’s aspiring writers.

Most of the participants were those who joined in the First Pangasinan Literary Contest last April.

Multi-lingual poet Santiago B. Villafania, author of Pinabli tan arum ni’ran Anlong (Beloved and Other Poems), lawyer Ferdinand Quintos, and award-winning writer Sergio Bumadilla, editor-in-chief of Balon Silew, were the invited speakers.

Tourism Officer Ma. Luisa Elduayan said the seminar aimed to give new writers the chance to hone their craft and to boost literary works in Pangasinan. (PIA-Pangasinan)
