SOME 500 children from different barangays of Dagupan participated in the two-day Alaska Power Camp basketball clinic held at CSI Stadia on July 14 and 15 under the auspices of Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, as head of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) Region1.

JoJo Lastimosa, a former Philippine Basketball Association standout, along with some members of the Alaska team, conducted the basketball clinic to teach the young players the right moves in the hard court and how to attain the heart of a champion.

BAP has been behind the holding of many basketball events in Dagupan, including the ongoing Dagupan Family Basketball Tournament held on weekdays at CSI Stadia.

Fernandez said Coach Lastimosa and the Alaska team are coming back to hold more basketball clinic and events for Dagupan kids.
