5-year old detained for his mother’s debt
SAN CARLOS CITY–The police led by Inspector Resty Ventinilla assisted a woman in rescuing her five-year old son who was detained by a family when she failed to pay her debt of P5,000.
Rescued from the house of one Nely Bugayong was John Reyna Hurbulado who was being involuntarily held there after his mother, Evelyn Anito, was not able to settle her debt.
In rescuing the boy from detention, the police coordinated with the City Social Welfare and Development Office and Barangay Chairwoman Marietta Poquiz.
After a short confrontation, the child was eventually released and turned over to his mother in good physical condition.
