4Ps beneficiaries get cash cards
THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Region I, in partnership with the Landbank of the Philippines, has distributed 4, 252 cash cards to beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) for easier and more convenient access to their cash grants.
DSWD Information officer Allan Lulu said the distribution was done in 11 areas, including the towns of Bugallon, San Fabian, San Jacinto, Sison and Urdaneta City in Pangasinan; Aringay, Luna, Pugo and Sudipen in La Union; Laoag in Ilocos Norte; and Burgos in Ilocos Sur.
In Urdaneta City, 479 cash cards were handed in the presence of DSWD Regional Director Marcelo Nicomedes Castillo, LandBank Manager Jethro Martinez, City Social Welfare and Development Officer (CSWDO) Anita Fernandez and some local officials of the city.
Castillo reminded the beneficiaries to use the cash grants for its intended purpose under the program, which is for children’s health and education.
Beneficiaries who were not present during the distribution can claim their cards at their respective LandBank servicing branches. (PIA-Pangasinan)
