PRISAA Pre-National Games Sports Competitions will be held from July to October this year in various parts of the country, to be participated in by PRISAA member-schools, as tune-up matches in preparation for the PRISAA National Collegiate Games on February 10-16 next year to be held in Pangasinan.

PRISAA national leaders said the competitions are aimed at gathering thousands of athletes and coaches of PRISAA teams and member-schools which failed to be included in regional teams that participated in the PRISAA National Collegiate Games held in Cebu City last April.

At stake are medals in seventeen individual and team sports disciplines and events.

PRISAA Region I, reigning PRISAA national champion team in taekwondo, will host the competitions in chess, athletics or taekwondo.

Meanwhile, preparations for the hosting by Region I of the PRISAA National Collegiate Games, have gained headway as prospective billeting centers for the expected 5,000 athletes, coaches and officials as well as competition venues for the various sports and events have been identified. – Philamer C.
