CALASIAO–Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) is ready to make more investments in Pangasinan after opening its first mall in the province in this town.

At the formal opening of Robinsons Place Pangasinan last May 10, RLC president Frederick Go said the company is “open to more opportunities in Pangasinan” and is on the look out for properties that can be developed into a shopping center, for housing and hotel.

Located along the MacArthur Highway, Robinsons Place Pangasinan, the group’s first mall in Pangasinan, has a gross floor area of about 32,000 square meters and a gross leasable of 25,000 square meters built on a 6-hectare property.

“We found the right property and so we built the Robinsons Place Pangasinan which is now our 30th mall nationwide,” Go said.

Majority of the employees hired are from the province, Go said.

Mayor Mark Roy Macanlalay hailed Robinson for setting up shop in his town saying should the 1st class municipality of Calasiao become a city, Robinsons will be one of the establishments to thank.

Third District Representative Rachel Arenas and Vice Governor Ferdinand Calimlim, who both graced the grand opening, also lauded the Robinsons group for investing in Pangasinan and opening employment opportunities.

Arenas said having a Robinsons mall here “not only did make our lives easier because this institution has generated a lot of jobs but it has also made the people happy and hopeful because investments would come in and it’s a sign of economic stability and growth”.

For his part, Calimlim said, “Your presence here gives so much prospects, it gives so much advancement for business here in the province. For so many years, it has been our goal to make Pangasinan the best place to work, invest and raise a family but it can only be realized with private partners like you (Robinsons),” he said.—with report from Eva Visperas and PIA Pangasinan
