Espino welcomes TESDA Secretary
LINGAYEN–Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. welcomed Secretary Joel Villanueva of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) as the latter visited the province on April 30 to see the preparations being undertaken for the Palarong Pambansa 2012.
Villanueva conveyed President Benigno S. Aquino III’s concerns and support for the preparations for the Palarong Pambansa that will be held in Pangasinan.
The President will be the guest of honor during the opening ceremonies on May 7 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC).
Villanueva said he will be present during the event on the invitation of the governor.
The secretary said he has so much regard for Espino who was a colleague in the House of Representatives for six years.
Villanueva himself was a product of the Palarong Pambansa in 1992 held in Zamboanga as he became one of the representatives of the basketball team of the National Capital Region, which eventually won the games.
“Dugong Palaro po ako kaya alam ko po ang pakiramdam ng paghahanda para sa Palarong Pambansa,” he said
Villanueva later told Espino that TESDA is able and more than willing to help Pangasinan improve further by producing more employment and livelihood opportunities. (PIO)
