Employers told to use PhilHealth EPRS

THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation advises employers to use the new Electronic Premium Reporting System (EPRS) in the preparation and submission of monthly remittance reports.

In the latest PhilHealth advisory signed by its President and Chief Executive Officer Eduardo Banzon, all employers from the government and private sectors are required to use the EPRS in preparing and submitting monthly remittance reports effective immediately.

Eventually, other reporting schemes except for the PhilHealth Premium Remittance Scheme-Positive/Negative (PPRS-PN), will gradually be phased out.

PhilHealth targets that before the end of this year, all remittance reports are processed using the EPRS.

Regional Public Relations Officer Irene Martinez clarified, however, that employers with ten employees or less may still submit their remittance report quarterly in hardcopy format.

Employers have also been advised to contact or coordinate with the nearest PhilHealth office regarding the orientation, training and subsequent registration to the EPRS. (PIA-Pangasinan/PhilHealth)
