PALM SUNDAY—Catholics wave their fronds as a priest sprinkles holy water on them before the start of a Eucharistic celebration at the Saint John Metropolitan Cathedral last Sunday. The waving of fronds re-enacts the Jews’ welcoming of king Jesus when He entered Jerusalem before his passion, death and resurrection.
