Riding-in-tandem hitmen strike in Dagupan
A BARANGAY tanod from San Fabian was wounded when motorcycle-riding-in-tandem hitmen (MRTH) shot him as he and a companion policeman were leaving the Justice Hall in Bonuan last March 20 at 9:45 a.m.
The incident happened in sitio Catacdang in Bonuan Gueset while the victim, William Baltazar, 34, was on board a motorcycle driven by PO2 Fernando Romeo, a member of the San Fabian Police Station after attending a court hearing in connection with Baltazar’s homicide case.
Baltazar was wounded in the right arm while Po2 Romeo was unscathed.
Another victim, Judy Eden Marie Nacer, 27, a nurse, from San Fabian, was injured when one of the bullets hit her in the stomach while she was on board a Starex van.
Baltazar identified the shooter as one Rommel Fortuno of San Fabian who is now the subject of a police manhunt.
The gunman used a Cal. 9 mm. pistol as evidenced by eight empty shells fou8nd near the crime scene.
