DTI warns public against impostors
THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has warned the public, especially business establishment owners, against individuals posing as DTI personnel and collecting or soliciting money in the form of advertisements.
DTI Provincial Director Peter Mangabat issued the warning in the wake of reports about the impostors preying on local businesses in Mangaldan and other municipalities.
Mangabat said there are no DTI personnel going around soliciting and collecting money as they are prohibited from doing so.
In case of suspicion of misrepresentation, he advised the public to get the name and possibly the address of the persons and report them to the DTI office in Dagupan.
“Huwag mabibigay ng pera sa di mo kilala,” Mangabat said. (PIA-Pangasinan)
