THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has alerted the public against fictitious texts relating to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

DSWD Secretary Corazon Soliman issued the warning versus a text scam coming from mobile number 0927-592-8747 and others.

The message reads: “President Noy-Noy Aquino Foundation Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) is informing you that you won P950, 000 as second prize winner in the Handog Pangkabuhayan raffle promo.”

Soliman said her office is not conducting any raffle for any purpose.

Recipients of the message are called on to immediately report to the DSWD Regional Office or call (072) 888-2505.

The public can also send an SMS to the 4Ps grievance hotline 0918-912-2813 for any concern, including the text scams.

The format is as follows: 4ps (space) name (slash) location (slash) concern. For example, 4ps Juan dela Cruz/Dagupan City/I am not included in the payroll.

The 4Ps is the conditional cash transfer program of the government which provides cash grants to selected poor household beneficiaries from zero to 14 years old in compliance with requirements on health, education and nutrition. (PIA-Pangasinan with report from DSWD)
