Creative writing workshop open for Pangasinan submissions

ASPIRING writers in Pangasinan can join the 3rd Cordillera Creative Writing Workshop (CCWW) set on May 22-26 in Baguio City.

The workshop, organized by the University of the Philippines Baguio (UPB) and National Commission for Culture and the Arts, promotes the northern Philippine languages including Pangasinan, Ilocano, Ibaloy, Kankanaey, Ifugao, Kalinga, Bontoc, Kalanguya, Karao, Isnag, and Tinguian.

Applicants, at least 16 years old, should submit any of these original and unpublished works: three poems, or one short story, or one creative non-fiction/essay written in any of the languages, with an accompanying translation in Filipino or English and a short curriculum vitae of the author.

Submissions can be emailed to cordilleracww@yahoo.com until April 15. (Raqueza Lalangan)

Notice of acceptance to the workshop will be released on April 20.
