ALAMINOS CITY—A consistent awardee, this city again bagged three honors during the recent Regional Development Council Performance Awards.

Alaminos, considered as Pangasinan’s fourth largest economy and tourism capital, was champion in the Search for the Most Outstanding LGU Coastal Resource Management (CRM) Implementer for CY 2011 under the City Category.

It was also the first runner-up in the Search for the Best Performing City in Region 1 based on the Local Governance Performance Management System and 2nd runner-up Search for the Cleanest, Safest and Greenest City.

City Administrator Wilmer Panabang, City General Services Officer Ismael Najera and City Agriculture Arceli Talania received the plaques of recognition for the city

Panabang said the CRM award cements Alaminos City’s status as an environmental champion in Region 1 for three previous years.

Alaminos won the same award in 2006 and 2007, and received the 2010 Likas Yaman Award for Environmental Excellence from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
