PPC Palarong Media reset to March 3
THE Palarong Media sports festival, organized by the Pangasinan Press Club (PPC), has been reset to March 3.
The event will kick off with a Fun Run to be participated in by some 200 of the PPC’s members and other media practitioners, technical crew of media outlets affiliated with private entities and government agencies throughout Pangasinan.
Atty. Gonzalo Duque, PPC president and The Punch columnist, said the postponement is to give all participating teams and individuals more time to practice and train for their respective sporting events.
The Fun Run will start and end at the Lyceum Northwestern University (LNU) campus, after which a simple opening ceremony will follow and then basketball and volleyball games will be played at the LNU Gym.
Other sporting activities are scheduled on March 10 and 17.
Cash prizes await the top three winners in basketball, volleyball, duck pin bowling, badminton, table tennis, chess and fun shoot.–Philamer C. Celi
