Dentists gather for National Dental Health Month
DENTISTS from north Luzon convene at the CSI Lucao Atrium today, February 12, for the 8th National Dental Health Month activities hosted by the the Philippine Dental Association (PDA)-Pangasinan Chapter.
The event’s highlight is a fun run dubbed “PDA (Pilipinas Darating Ako…Tumatakbo)”, a fund raising activity for PDA’s civic and socio-cultural projects.
“The fun run will awaken the public not only about oral health awareness but will also promote physical health,” said Dr. Evangeline Padlan, the association’s president and dean of the College of Dentistry at the Lyceum-Northwestern University in Dagupan.
On February 13, a tree-planting program called BINHI (Bawat Isa Nangangako Habangbuhay Iingatan) will be held at the Angalacan River in Barangay Nibaliw in Mangaldan
Other activities set for the north Luzon celebration are dance sports competition, cheer dancing contest, photo exhibit, “dentistang henyo” (genius dentist) and a community outreach program. (PIA-Pangasinan)
