DO YOU know a public official or employee – or a group of them – who deserve recognition for outstanding service to the public?

Then go and submit a nomination to the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for the 2012 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees.

Director Lyrma Oalin of the CSC Field office in Lingayen said the search is in support of President Benigno Aquino’s agenda to strengthen the bureaucracy and reward those who have done served the people well.

“There are three awards for the search to recognize the outstanding public officials and employees,” Oalin said during the Pantongtongan Tayo radio program of the Philippine Information Agency last week.

The Presidential Lingkod Bayan award for an individual or a group will consist of a gold- gilded medallion, citation with the President’s signature plus a P200,000 cash incentive.

The Dangal ng Bayan for an individual who will be judged based professional performance and commitment, will consist of a trophy and a citation plus P200,000 cash incentive.

The Pagasa award will be presented to an individual or group based on outstanding accomplishments and can be a posthumous recognition.

Deadline for the submission of entries is April 30 and awarding will be in September, the CSC anniversary month.

Previous winners from Pangasinan include Rosales Municipal Mayor Ricardo Revita and a policeman from San Carlos City. (PIA-Pangasinan)
